As a busy working parent of two school-age kids, I am pulled in various directions throughout the day. Between the morning routine, helping with homework, and ferrying my kids to their many after-school activities, I often don’t have time to eat nutritious foods. As a result, I notice that my energy dips, and I feel sluggish. And on Sundays, the last thing I want to do is meal prep when I’ve spent all week rushing around. So, I started searching for ways to get the nutrients my body needs without cutting into my much-needed downtime.
As I began researching, I quickly learned about greens powders as an easy supplement to incorporate into my daily diet. The idea of getting more greens simply by adding a powder to my water or a smoothie was appealing. Super greens powders contain vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, and digestive enzymes purported to add nutrition to your diet and improve your gut health.

I compared some of the highest-rated powders on the market and decided to try Live it Up Super Greens powder for several reasons, primarily for its extensive ingredient list and affordability. This is my experience with Live it Up!

Deciding on a greens powder supplement to try was a difficult decision. There are so many different options available that I began to experience some analysis paralysis. My First Impressions of Live it Up Super Greens
I received my 30-serving bag of Live it Up Super Greens powder within five days of ordering it. The bag was shipped in a poly mailer and was undamaged when I opened it. My eyes were immediately drawn to the bright green bag that lists the top ingredients, including chlorella, spirulina, wheatgrass, kale, broccoli, spinach, barley grass, moringa, and parsley.
Inside the bag is a serving scoop to make it easier to measure your powder daily. I had to dig a little to find the scoop (which was a messy process), but once I found it the first time, it stayed at the top of the bag for easy daily access.
The powder itself looks like you would expect: green. It has a slightly earthy smell with a pleasant hint of mint, and the powder’s texture is quite fine. In fact, it was fine enough to stick to my hands slightly each time I scooped, so avoid scooping it while wearing easily stainable fabrics. I did get the powder on my sweatshirt the first day, though it brushed off easily enough. After that, though, I took care to scoop the powder over the sink to make for easier cleanup.
My initial reaction to Live it Up was overwhelmingly positive, despite the slight mess I made on myself when digging for the scooper. I couldn’t wait to try the greens for the first time the next morning!
Analyzing the Live it Up Ingredients: What Am I Getting With Each Scoop?
Vitamin and Nutrient Rich Ingredients
Live it Up Super Greens is made with organic vegetables. According to the ingredient label, each scoop contains:
- Chlorella
- Parsley
- Broccoli
- Spirulina
- Spinach
- Wheatgrass
- Barley grass
- Moringa
- Alfalfa
- Kale
- Kelp
- Dulse
- Peppermint
- Ginger root
- Nettle leaf
- Burdock root
- Dandelion leaf
That mix of organic greens delivers a substantial daily value of vitamin B12, which is especially helpful for those on a plant-based diet. Many of the natural sources of this vitamin are animal-based, so vegetarians and vegans are often B12-deficient. A scoop of Live it Up Super Greens also gives you the following.
Probiotics and Gut Health Boosting Enzymes
In addition to all those vitamins, a scoop of powder also contains dairy-free probiotics and a digestive enzyme complex that includes papain from papaya, bromelain from pineapple, and vegetarian pepsin.
These ingredients offer numerous benefits, including balanced energy, regulated digestion to improve gut health, decreased bloating, better immune function, and elevated mental performance.
Probably like most people trying a greens powder for the first time, I had my doubts as to how legitimate these claims would actually be, but I was very happy with the results. More on that later!
Taste Test and Mixability
Live it Up Super Greens powder comes with a serving-size scoop that makes adding the right amount to your chosen beverage easy. The powder comes in two flavors: original (which has a slightly minty taste) and wild berries. I purchased the original flavor because I love the taste of mint. Here’s how I found it.
Live it Up Greens Taste
After trying various vegan protein powders over the years, I was a little nervous about how the Live it Up greens powder would taste. I detest the taste of stevia, and most of the powders I’d tried in the past were chalky and just felt weird in my mouth. But I was pleasantly surprised by the enjoyable taste of Live it Up Super Greens.
The original powder’s minty taste isn’t overpowering. Instead, it adds a slight hint of mint to whatever it’s added to. First, I mixed the powder into a glass of water to get a baseline taste of the powder. The powder is sweetened with monk fruit extract rather than stevia, and it doesn’t have the weird aftertaste that stevia leaves in your mouth. The taste was mild, making an otherwise dull glass of water more enjoyable.
Next, I decided to spice things up a little bit and mixed the powder into a smoothie as a mid-afternoon snack. My smoothie was simple, containing banana, strawberry, and almond milk. Adding the greens powder gave it a very subtle mint taste that enhanced the sweetness of the fruit. I enjoyed this mixture so much that I repeated it several times over the next few weeks.
Finally, I decided to go wild and mix the powder with plain cashew yogurt and a sprinkling of semisweet chocolate chips. The result? A delicious and filling snack that tasted like a healthier version of mint chocolate chip ice cream.
Overall, the smoothie was my favorite of the three mixtures I tried, but for the sake of convenience, I mixed the Live it Up Super Greens powder with water most of the time.
Mixability
Mixing the Live it Up Super Greens Powder into my beverage made me think of the chalky, grainy protein powder from my past. But the greens powder mixed with the liquid like a dream.
When mixing the powder into water, I simply stirred it with a reusable stainless steel straw to incorporate it. After mixing for about 30 seconds, the powder had almost completely dissolved into the water. The water had a slight texture but was nothing like the chalkiness I expected.
Mixing the powder with a blender created the smoothest finish. I added all the ingredients for my smoothie and sprinkled the powder on top. I turned the blender on (mine has a “smoothie” mode that cycles on and off several times to allow the ingredients to settle) and let it work its magic. Aside from the minty taste, the greens powder was undetectable in the smoothie.
You could also use a shaker bottle, mini hand mixer, or blender ball to mix the powder with the liquid. These methods would have a similar effect as my blender—smoother than mixing using just a spoon—without needing to dig the appliance out daily.
How I Actually Felt After Using Live it Up
I noticed several improvements after using Live it Up consistently for three weeks. First, my energy levels did in fact increase, as the packaging claimed they would. In addition to keeping up with my crazy schedule as a mom, I also found the motivation to exercise more frequently. I started following a half-marathon training plan for an upcoming race during this time. I also found the energy to incorporate lifting weights at least three times a week. This is not something that I had the stamina for prior to introducing Live it Up into my dietary regimen. So, this was a big win for Live it Up in my book!
Second, I noticed a definite decrease in bloating and other gut-related issues. I often feel sluggish in the afternoon, reaching for sugary snacks or caffeine for an energy jolt that would leave me bloated and generally uncomfortable. After a few weeks of drinking my greens, that afternoon bloating disappeared. I felt more energized, less bloated, and more ready to tackle the midday madness.
I am very excited with the results that I have seen so far in drinking Live it Up Super Greens. I tested the product for three weeks before writing this review, so I am eager to see how I feel after a longer period of time.
Live it Up Compared to Other Greens Powders
Live it Up isn’t the only super greens powder out there. Other popular greens powders include AG1 and Bloom, among others. I chose Live it Up over another powder because of its clean ingredients, lack of caffeine and stevia, and affordable subscription price. When comparing my options, here’s what I found about how those other powders differ from Live it Up.

Live it Up vs. AG1
Athletic Greens AG1 was one of the first super greens powders to hit the market in 2010. It has a long ingredient list, including whole foods, superfoods, probiotics, digestive enzymes, and adaptogens. Live it Up contains almost all of those elements except for adaptogens. AG1 also contains stevia and a small amount of caffeine, whereas Live it Up doesn’t have either of those ingredients. AG1’s formula includes synthetic vitamins, which are made artificially versus nutrients naturally derived from whole foods. Vitamins and nutrients from whole foods have been found to be more effective and beneficial for the body compared to synthetics.
Live it Up offers free shipping on all orders, a 30-day money-back guarantee, and real-time support. AG1 does offer a generous 90-day money-back guarantee but charges shipping and doesn’t provide real-time support.

Live it Up vs. Bloom
Bloom Greens & Superfoods powder has many of the same ingredients as Live it Up Super Greens powder, including spirulina, barley grass, chlorella, kale, spinach, and wheatgrass. Both also contain digestive enzymes and probiotics. However, Bloom’s powder includes fruits (strawberry, cranberry, tart cherry, elderberry, and acai) to boost antioxidants and adaptogens to help you cope with stress. Live it Up is missing these ingredients, but the most significant difference for me was the sweeteners used in each powder. While Bloom uses stevia, Live it Up uses monk fruit extract. As I mentioned, I am not a fan of stevia, so this put me off Bloom. Additionally, Bloom Nutrition charges for shipping and doesn’t have real-time support.

Price Comparison and Cost Per Scoop
Another key factor for me in choosing a greens powder was affordability. While health and wellness is a priority for me, I also have to be cost-conscious as a mother with a young family. Here’s what I found when comparing the price tag of three popular greens powders.
Live it Up Super Greens | AG1 | Bloom Greens | |
---|---|---|---|
Cost Per Serving (30 Day Subscription) | $1.33 | $2.64 | $1.04 |
I’m serious about sticking with a greens powder for the long-term, so I opted to compare costs based on each product’s 30 day subscription pricing. Live it Up, AG1, and Bloom all offer discounted prices for users that enroll in a monthly subscription versus one-off purchasers.
AG1 has the steepest price point at $2.64 per serving ($79 per bag with the monthly subscription discount). This price gave me sticker shock when I was doing my comparison to other products. At $2.64 per serving, I felt like I couldn’t afford this on a monthly basis. For that reason, among others, I decided to seek out AG1 alternatives.
Bloom Greens & Superfoods comes in at the lowest cost per serving. At just $1.04 per scoop ($31.49 per bag with the monthly subscription discount), Bloom is a real tempting option. For me, though, the added stevia, lack of free shipping, and no money back guarantee left me nervous to try Bloom. I had no way to recoup my money if I was not satisfied with the product.
Live it Up Super Greens was the middle of the road in terms of price at $1.33 per serving ($39.99 per bag with the monthly subscription discount). This is a much more reasonable price for me compared to AG1, and unlike Bloom, Live it Up offers free shipping and a money back guarantee. I chose to try Live it Up because if I wasn’t satisfied, I had assurances that I could be refunded at no loss to myself.
What Other Users Have to Say About Live it Up Super Greens
When you’re shopping for a super greens powder, it’s a good idea to read reviews and see what everyday users of the product have to say. Don’t just take my word for it; consider some of these reviews I found from around the internet.
“I can tell a huge difference in my overall energy level since I began using Super Greens a few months ago.” Tammy B.
“I love this stuff. I drink it every morning and I can tell if I skip a day or two.” Allison H.
“These greens are amazing and have really helped with my gut health. My kids even like the taste!” Jenny F.
“I felt great after two weeks of taking it daily. I highly recommend this product if you want a holistic way of life.” Manny G.
“This superfood is so relaxing. I have a glass with warm oat milk two hours before bed and I sleep like a baby.” Eileen Z.
“I feel great. No bloating, great taste, cheaper than top competitors that I’ve used. Highly recommend.” Octavio M.
“Yes, I would recommend this product. It tastes great and provides me an extra boost of nutrition daily. I also like that it has B12 in it since I'm vegan.” Natasha B.
My Final Verdict: Is Live it Up Greens Worth It?
In one word: YES.
Overall, I was very impressed with the taste and effects of Live it Up’s Super Greens powder. In just a few weeks, it’s boosted my energy, reduced bloating, and helped me maintain focus throughout the day. Although I was initially considering products that contained adaptogens, I’m glad I gave Live it Up a try. The ingredients had a noticeable effect on my health—and, importantly, I enjoyed the taste, which means I will be more likely to keep drinking it daily.
I would absolutely recommend Live it Up Super Greens powder to anyone looking to boost their nutrition, whether, like me, they lack the time to meal prep or they simply don’t enjoy the taste of leafy greens but still want to reap their benefits. There are so many greens powders on the market, but Live it Up stands out for its affordable price, free shipping, and lack of caffeine or stevia. And with a 30-day money-back guarantee, there’s no reason not to try it.
