Green Vibrance by Vibrant Health Overview

Green Vibrance by Vibrant Health has been on the market since 1992 and has won the highest number of prestigious awards for its brilliance as a healthy formula. This brand not only has a long legacy, but it’s also the most awarded greens supplement on the market, which shows just how reliable the formula is.

Vibrant Health Green Vibrance also contains over 70 ingredients, including potent super greens ingredients, fruits, enzymes, probiotics, prebiotics, herbs, extracts, and more.

    Green Vibrance Pros

    • Over 70 fully-disclosed ingredients

    • Many vitamins and minerals exceed the daily recommended values

    AG1 vs. Green Vibrance Benefits

There are many benefits to integrating a green powder supplement into your daily diet. However, there are a few differences between AG1 Next Gen and Vibrant Health Green Vibrance.

    AG1 Benefits

AG1 has gone to the effort of dedicating an entire part of their website to the advantages of the formula. Next Gen offers the following purported benefits:

    1. Digestive support: The blend includes 10 billion CFU of five different strains of probiotics, probiotics (inulin), and digestive enzymes to aid digestion and gut health.
    2. Immune function: It features algae, cereal grasses, and greens, which contain immune-supporting nutrients, including vitamins A, C, and E, as well as zinc and selenium.
    3. Nutritional support: The formula is packed with vitamins and minerals, including B vitamins, calcium, zinc, iron, and selenium. However, they are synthetic nutrients (not derived from whole foods), and many of the quantities exceed the daily recommended values.
    4. Reduced stress levels: It includes adaptogens, such as astragalus and ashwagandha, which may help manage stress and anxiety. However, it’s unclear whether the doses align with daily recommendations and are possibly underdosed.
    5. Cell protection: The powder contains antioxidant-rich ingredients, such as mushrooms and berries, which can help protect cells and combat oxidative stress.

    Green Vibrance Benefits

Green Vibrance is designed to help the user with whole-body wellness due to the health benefits they state are in the formula. These health benefits are built around the four pillars of health wellness—nutrition, circulation, digestion, and immunity:

    1. Nutritional support: The blend comprises a variety of nutrient-rich ingredients, including cereal grasses, algae, greens, and fruits. However, many of the nutrient quantities exceed the daily recommended values.
    2. Energy maintenance and digestion: It features six digestive enzymes, which help break down food and convert it into energy.  Plus, the formula includes 12 strains of probiotics to support a healthy microbiome.
    3. Immune function: The overall formula contains a variety of nutrients that support immunity (vitamins A, C, D, zinc, and selenium), but it also includes an immune-support specific blend with astragalus and ResistAid®.
    4. Circulation: It includes nutrient-dense ingredients that may support circulation, such as beetroot powder, kale, and spinach.

    AG1 vs. Green Vibrance Ingredients

Ingredients can make or break the quality of a green powder supplement. Here are the key ingredients and how they can affect your daily intake of nutrients.

    AG1 Ingredients

The Athletic Greens formula contains 83 healthy ingredients, including prebiotics, probiotics, enzymes, and adaptogens. The super greens powder is vegan, gluten-free, nut-free, dairy-free, keto-friendly, paleo-friendly, and non-GMO, making it suitable for a wide range of people with food-specific allergies.

Let’s take a closer look at some of the AG1 ingredients:

    • Active Superfood and Prebiotic Complex: This fiber-rich blend includes prebiotics, such as inulin and apple powder, along with digestive enzymes like bromelain, as well as herbs, algae, and adaptogens like astragalus, ashwagandha, and rhodiola.
    • Daily Phytonutrient Blend: This blend is an excellent source of antioxidants and immune-supporting ingredients, including cereal grass, greens, berries, and mushrooms.
    • Dairy-free Probiotic Blend: Including 10 billion CFUs of five different strains of probiotics, which is at the top end of the recommended dose range.

While AG1 Next Gen contains a variety of superfoods, I do wonder if the formula is over-stuffed. Sometimes, when a blend has too many ingredients, they can be underdosed, thereby limiting their potential health benefits.

    Green Vibrance Ingredients

Green Vibrance contains over 70 ingredients, just like the Athletic Greens formula. Containing everything from super greens and probiotics to herbs and enzymes, the formula is vegan, gluten-free, dairy-free, and non-GMO.

Below, I’ve outlined some of the key ingredients in the Green Vibrance formula:

    • Cereal Grasses and Plant-Based Micro-Nutrition: The blend includes a variety of nutrient-dense cereal grasses, algae, leafy greens, and cruciferous vegetables.
    • Antioxidant Life Preservers: The formula includes fruits such as strawberries, pomegranates, and goji berries that may help combat oxidative stress.
    • Fiber, Probiotics, Enzymes, Tonics: With inulin (prebiotics), six digestive enzymes, and 12 different strains of probiotics, these ingredients focus on gut support.

When it comes to Green Vibrance’s ingredient list, I have the same concern I had with AG1 Next Gen. It’s great to see so many superfoods and healthy ingredients included in the formula, but I wonder if their doses are enough to offer significant health benefits.

    AG1 vs. Green Vibrance Taste

It’s not enough that it’s healthy. In order for us to take anything every day, it has to taste great! So, what do these greens taste like?

    Athletic Greens Taste

In addition to the Original flavor, AG1 Next Gen now also comes in Tropical, Citrus, and Berry flavors.

Athletic Greens is naturally sweetened using stevia extract, and it’s also flavored using papaya, broccoli powder, cherry powder, carrot, natural pineapple flavor, and natural vanilla flavor. There are a lot of flavorings used to alter the taste of this formula, with mixed results.

While some love the subtle taste of the flavorings and the refreshing nature of the formula, others despise how it tastes. The presence of stevia can also create an unpleasant aftertaste. However, the flavor is rarely overpowering, but the formula doesn’t mix well, resulting in a grainy texture when the formula settles.

    Green Vibrance Taste

Green Vibrance is available in three flavors: original, chocolate coconut, and matcha tea.

The original flavor contains a flavoring ingredient known as Vanifolia. The chocolate coconut flavor uses natural caramel chocolate coconut flavoring, monk fruit, cocoa powder, and the Vanifolia natural flavoring. The matcha tea flavor simply contains monk fruit extract, vanilla natural flavoring, and the basic Vanifolia natural flavoring.

The formula is commonly described as having a grass-like taste and leaving a gritty texture behind. Personally, I found the taste to be one of the most unpleasant of all the green powders I’ve tasted. It was overly sweet and grassy with a lingering bitter aftertaste.

    AG1 vs. Green Vibrance Cost

Which is more affordable? Here’s a breakdown of the cost between Athletic Greens and Green Vibrance.

    AG1 Cost

AG1 is one of the more expensive super greens formulas on the market, making it unaffordable for a lot of people. Let’s take a closer look:

    • $79 ($2.64 per serving) for a 30-day supply with a subscription
    • $99 for a one-time purchase of a 30-day supply
    • $149 ($2.64 per serving) for a 60-day supply with a subscription
    • $198 for a one-time purchase of a 60-day supply
    • $223.50 ($2.49 per serving) for a 90-day supply with a subscription
    • $297 for a 90-day supply with a subscription
    • 90-day money-back guarantee with a subscription

    Green Vibrance Cost

Green Vibrance is relatively low-cost compared to AG1 and many other super green formulas. Its pricing is as follows:

    • $56 ($1.87 per serving) for a 30-day supply with a subscription
    • $65 for a one-time purchase of a 30-day supply
    • $84.85 ($1.41 per serving) for a 60-day supply with a subscription
    • $99 for a one-time purchase of a 60-day supply
    • $111.42 ($1.34 per serving) for an 83-day supply
    • $130 for a one-time purchase of an 83-day supply
    • Free shipping on orders $55+
    • 90-day satisfaction guarantee

AG1 vs. Green Vibrance: Which Is Better?

In terms of the number of ingredients, the average grams per serving, and the methods of attaining the super green, I’d have to say that these two formulas are pretty close to one another. They both contain a variety of superfoods and include nutrients that exceed the daily recommended values.

That said, AG1 Next Gen is considerably more expensive than Green Vibrance, which may be a deterrent for some. However, it does have a much more enjoyable flavor than Green Vibrance, making it easier to incorporate into your daily routine.

Now, if you are looking for the best AG1 alternatives, there are a few other options available on the market. These greens powders offer similar benefits to Athletic Greens and Green Vibrance, and can be a great option for those looking for a different taste or price point.  For example, Live it Up Super Greens is one of my favorite choices.

I strongly recommend Live it Up Super Greens because I believe it is the best green powder to support your energy levels, gut health, immune system, and overall health.
